Terms of Use

Last updated: October 23, 2026 · Effective when AfterLook launches on the App Store

In plain terms

  • You must be 16 or older. If you’re 16 or 17, a parent or guardian must approve first.
  • Only upload photos of yourself. Never someone else.
  • An AI preview is an illustration, not a guaranteed result from a barber, stylist or product.
  • Credits are spent only when you tap Generate. Purchased credits never expire. Subscriptions are billed and cancelled through Apple.
  • Your photos and Looks are yours and private by default.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and AutoSolve Labs (“AutoSolve Labs”, “we”, “us”) for your use of the AfterLook app and this website (together, “AfterLook”). By creating an account or using AfterLook you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use AfterLook.

2. Eligibility and accounts

3. Your photos: only you

Every photo you upload must show only you, and you must have the right to use it. In a group photo, AfterLook asks you to choose your face and blurs anyone else before upload. You may not upload, edit or request previews of another person, a public figure or a minor other than yourself, or ask for undressing, nudity, sexualised, body-shape or anatomical changes. We may refuse a photo or request that breaks these rules; no credit is used for a rejected photo.

4. AI previews are previews

AfterLook uses artificial intelligence, provided by OpenAI, to create edited images and style suggestions. An AI preview is an illustration of a possible look. It is not a promise that a barber, stylist, colourist, product or treatment can reproduce it, and it cannot predict growth, density or how your hair behaves. Measurements and lengths in guides are suggested ranges to discuss with a professional, not measurements of you. The style advisor is an AI, not a person, licensed stylist, therapist or medical professional, and does not give medical or skin-health advice.

AI output can be imperfect. If a preview changes your features or doesn’t look like you, use “Not quite me”; where a result fails our quality requirements we may offer a corrective attempt at no cost. Choosing a different style is a new experiment and uses a new credit.

5. Credits, plans and payments

6. Your content and our licence

You keep ownership of the photos you upload and the content you create (“Your Content”). You give AutoSolve Labs a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, edit (including through our AI provider) and display Your Content only to provide AfterLook to you and to the audiences you choose, to keep AfterLook safe, and to comply with the law. We do not use your photos for advertising or to train AI models. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies kept for the limited periods in our Privacy Policy or that others already saved where you shared them.

AfterLook itself, including its design, software, editorial samples and recipes, belongs to AutoSolve Labs or its licensors. Discover imagery marked “Sample · fictional” is not a real person. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, scrape or resell AfterLook.

7. Community rules for Circles, polls and posts

Circles are small, private, invite-only groups. To keep them kind and safe:

Content is filtered automatically and reviewed by people when reported. Every post, reply, poll and person can be reported or blocked. We may remove content, limit features, warn, suspend or close accounts that break these rules. You can appeal a moderation decision within 14 days from the app or by email; a different reviewer decides.

8. Removal and copyright requests

If an intimate or private image of you appears in AfterLook without your consent, you can ask us to remove it without an account by emailing faraz@autosolvelabs.com with “Removal request” in the subject. Include where the image appears, a statement that it shows you and was shared without your consent, and how to contact you. We aim to remove valid requests within 48 hours along with known identical copies. Copyright notices and counter-notices may be sent to the same address and should include the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512. We terminate repeat infringers.

9. Ending your use

You may stop using AfterLook and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms, create risk for others or if required by law. Where we can, we will tell you why and let you export your content. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as licences already used, disclaimers, limitation of liability and disputes) survive.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

AfterLook is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, AutoSolve Labs disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and does not warrant that AfterLook or any AI output will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free. Decisions you make about your appearance, including cuts, colour, treatments and purchases, are yours.

To the fullest extent the law allows, AutoSolve Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim relating to AfterLook is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify AutoSolve Labs against claims arising from content you upload that you did not have the right to use, or from your breach of these Terms.

11. Disputes

Please email us first; most concerns can be solved quickly. If we cannot resolve a dispute within 60 days, you and AutoSolve Labs agree to resolve it by individual, binding arbitration rather than in court, except that either of us may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either of us may seek relief in court for intellectual-property misuse. Class actions and class arbitrations are not permitted. If 25 or more similar arbitration demands are filed, they will be administered in batches. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing faraz@autosolvelabs.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms with your name and the subject “Arbitration opt-out”. Minors may have the right to disaffirm contracts, including this section, under applicable law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which AutoSolve Labs is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

12. Apple App Store terms

These Terms are between you and AutoSolve Labs, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for AfterLook or its content, and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. If AfterLook fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation. AutoSolve Labs, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to AfterLook, including product-liability, legal-compliance, consumer-protection and intellectual-property claims. You confirm you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo and are not on a US government restricted-party list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of AfterLook must also follow Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect; continuing to use AfterLook afterwards means you accept the change. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Questions: faraz@autosolvelabs.com.
